Conference Highlights
President SCS- Dr. A.K. Mukharjee
The Spine injury causing severe disability is on the increase following India’s Socio-economic development.  The disability occurs mainly among young adults who are poor, illiterate and come from rural background.  Today there is a lack of awareness about prevention and effective care for spine injury patient is also deficient.  Indian spine injury patient is showing a similar demographic and epidemiological trend with that of developed world.  The time has come to take necessary remedial measures so as to minimize the menace from this disability in India.
