Categories of Membership

Full Members


There will be two categories of Full members, viz Life Members and Annual Members. Individuals, Doctors, medically qualified who are active and professionally involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of persons with spinal cord lesions, according to the objectives of SCS shall be eligible for election to full membership of SCS.

Associate Member

Either medical students, Doctors in training with not more than five years after qualification or person in an allied medical or paramedical profession involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of persons with spinal cord lesions i.e psychologist etc. shall be eligible for election to Associate membership of SCS.

Honorary Members


Persons of distinction in the field of research, prevention, education, medical and surgical treatment as well as in public life who have contributed to advances in rehabilitation and social re integration of persons with spinal cord lesions shall be eligible as honorary members of SCS.

Emeritus Members

Past Presidents and other Officers can be elected as Emeritus Members of SCS on nomination by Apex Body
