Indian Spinal Injuries Centre New Delhi, been acknowledged as a highly specialised centre by the Government of India and recognised internationally for its quality services. Over the years, it has been able to establish a unique model for Comprehensive Management of Spinal injuries suitable to Indian conditions. This model could be applicable to all other developing countries with a similar socio-cultural background.
Spinal Cord Society and Indian Spinal Injuries Centre together have been organizingInternational Spine and Spinal injuries Conference (ISSICon) regularly under the patronage of International Spinal Cord Scoiety ISCoS)in order to provide a forum for exchange of ideas and free flow of information amongst professionals from across the globe.
ISSICon 2006 held in The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi, from 3rd to 5th March was a major success and had 59 International faculty members, 92 National faculty members and 572 participants representing 21 countries. The previous conferences have covered the themes of Complications in 'Spinal Injuries & Spine Surgery' 'Dilemmas in Management of Spinal Injuries & Spine Disorders' For ISSICON 2008 the theme would be 'Recent Advances in Spine Care.'
English will be the main language. However facilities for interpreters in different languages will also be made available on specific request. Registration would be limited to 600 delegates.
We request the world community to join this 'meeting of the minds' so that benefits of development can percolate down to the least served persons with Spinal Injuries and other disorders.
